Työpaja opettaa immersiivisten ja osallistavien esitysten teoriaa ja erityisesti käytäntöä.Immersiiviset esitykset käsitetään usein esityksinä, jotka upottavat katsojan teoksen näyttämökuvaan, mutta laajemmin ymmärrettynä ne tarkoittavat esityksiä, jotka haastavat esitysten perinteisen yleisösuhteen.
Osallistavat esitykset tarkoittavat laajaa kirjoa esityksiä, jotka käyttävät mm. pelisuunnittelun ja aktivismin keinoja laajentaakseen perinteistä esityskäsitystä.
Työpaja keskittyy immersiivisten ja osallistavien esitysten suunnitteluun ja toteuttamiseen.
Työpajassa opit
• Immersiivisen teatterin historiaa, määritelmiä ja erityispiirteitä
• Osallistavien esitysten poliittisia ulottuvuuksia
• Pelisuunnittelua ja osallistamisen mekanismeja esittävissä taiteissa
• Intimiteetin rajojen neuvottelua sekä suostumuksen peruskäsitteet
• Moniaistisen esiintymisen tekniikkaa suhteessa osallistujaan
• Aistimaan ja ymmärtämään ympäristön merkityksen luojana

Työpajan voi peruuttaa viimeistään 1kk ennen sen toteutumista. Sen jälkeen peruuttamisesta veloitetaan 50 % osallistumismaksusta. Mikäli peruutat työpajan viikon sisällä ennen työpajaa, menetät koko osallistumismaksun.
OPETTAJA:
Samee Haapa on näyttelijä FIA, tanssija, esitystaiteilija, antropologi ja dj. Hän on tuottanut, ohjannut ja esiintynyt 20 vuoden ajan sekä instituutioissa että vapaalla kentällä Suomessa ja kansainvälisesti.
Hän tekee parhaillaan taiteellista väitöskirjaa Taideyliopiston Teatterikorkeakouluun aiheenaan immersiiviset esitykset ja peliesitykset. Hän on opettanut immersiivistä teatteria mm. Teatterikorkeakoulussa ja Aalto-yliopistossa. Hän on Kaiken keskuksen taiteellinen johtaja.

HUOMIOITAVAA:
Immersiivisen teatterin työpaja toimii turvallisemman tilan periaatteilla. Tämä tarkoittaa kunnioitusta kaikkia sukupuolia, seksuaalisuuksia, taustoja, kehoja ja kyvykkyyksiä kohtaan. Rasistinen, seksistinen, homofobinen, transfobinen tai muulla tavoin syrjivä käyttäytyminen ei ole sallittua.

The workshop teaches theory and especially practice of immersive and participatory performances.
Immersive performances are usually understood as performances that immerse the audience in the stage setting of a performance, but understood in a larger context it means performances that challenge the traditional position of the audience in a performance.
Participatory performances point to a wide variety of performances that use f. e. the tools of game design and activism to expand the traditional concept of performance.
The workshop focuses on the planning and realisation of immersive and participatory performances.
It teaches you to
• History, definitions and characteristics of immersive theatre
• Consider the political dimensions of participatory performances
• Game design in performing arts
• Mechanisms of participation
• Negotiation of intimacy and basic concepts of consent
• Multisensory performing technique in relation to a participant
• Sensing and understanding the environment as shaper of meaning

PRICE:
100 €
You can cancel your registration until one month before the workshop. If you cancel later than that, you will be charged 50 % of the registration fee. If you cancel later than one week before the workshop, you will be charged the whole workshop fee.
TEACHER:
Samee Haapa is an actor FIA, dancer, live art maker, an anthropologist and a dj. They have produced, directed and performed 20 years both in institutions and as a freelancer in Finland and abroad.
They are currently finishing their artistic doctoral thesis in the Theatre Academy at the University of the Arts Helsinki with a focus on immersive and game performances. They teach immersive theatre regularly f.e. in Theatre Academy Helsinki and Aalto University. They are the artistic director of The Center for Everything.
