Let's celebrate the first day of Spring (depending on which calendar you follow 😉) with a walk along the lower slopes of Barnavave in the Cooley Mountains tomwatch the Sun rising over Carlingford Lough. The route is beautiful taking us along a mix of trails, country paths and our wonderful Deserted Village. It will be done at a gentle pace so is suitable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness although it will be on uneven mountain terrain so proper clothing and footwear are required. No jeans or runners please. Duration: 2 hours approx
Difficulty: Gentle paced on uneven mountain terrain.
Meeting Point: The parking area near the Deserted Village on the South Commons Road, Carlingford.
