The dark time of the year is ending and the cold is receding to make way for the warm light of the sun. This Imbolc we focus on the resiliency of our Ancestors, who made it through difficult times, hardship, and aggressive regimes. Yet, remained steadfast in their resolve to find some small bit of comfort, happiness, and satisfaction in their lives.
This Imbolc we focus on Brigid as the tender of the Hearth. Who kept the flame burning even when the bitter wind and oppressive cold came to extinguish the fire our ancestors cradled themselves around.
Darkness cowers in the presence of the light.
Offerings:
- Bread
- White candles
- Poem
- Flowers (yellow or white)
Doors open at 5pm and will be locked at 5:15 when ritual will begin.
More information will be provided below in regard to chants that will be sung at the service.
