Imbolc is the old Pagan tradition and part of the wheel of the year, where we welcome in the first signs of spring. Spiritually this means we are creating and getting ready to birth our ideas, our newness ready for the equinox in March.I want to offer this ceremony as a way of helping you to birth your ideas.
What to expect?
*We will open up the circle with a meditation allowing ourselves to immerse in the moment. We will focus on the Goddess with some Mugwort, or Blue Lotus Tea. If these arent for you there will be some other herbal teas you can choose from
*We will then do some mindful movement while we build up the images in our minds of what we want to develop in this years chapter.
while still in our mindful and aware states we will begin to work on a phrase or phrases to use on your vision board as your mantra. You are guided throughout this time and you are encouraged to get as creative as you can. You will be given a piece of card to put this all down on. This will be your mantra vision board, you might have a full verse of poetry you might have one line, you might prefer to paint an image, whatever it is, this will be your unique reminder for what you need for your next chapter.
*Once we have created this we will have a quick break for refreshments
before offering our gratitude to our lives, the earth and anything else in a beautiful despacho prayer, these are powerful and very sacred moments which are beautiful to share as a group.
*to finish off we will close circle with some more guided meditation before you get to leave with your mantra vision board, a small alter gift set and your despacho prayer parcel.
What you need to bring?
Wear comfy clothes, bring a blanket and pillow/mat to lay down on.
Any item you might want to put in the despacho prayer (biodegradable only, natural items that wont damage the earth, i will bring rice, sugar, flowers, seeds and other objects but if you want to bring anything else thats unique to you a special flower, some writing/prayer, feathers, natural crystal then please do!
That is it, if you have any items you would like to put on the alter that will be there then you are very welcome to put some offerings on there too.
