Bringing a Message of Hope - Again
In 2020, the Imani Milele Choir arrived in Laurens County on their cross-country tour sharing joy through music and dance. Within hours of their arrival, the whole world headed into lock-down because of the COVID-19 Global Pandemic. What was scheduled to be a two-night stay with performances scheduled in the local area became a 281-night stay with only opportunities to perform virtually. Their message of hope in support of the work of the organization back in Uganda also became a sustaining message of love and hope for our community during the uncertainty of the pandemic.
Now – four years later, the choir has returned to the community that supported them so kindly during their 2020 pandemic sheltering at Camp Fellowship to say “Thank You!” and to share TWO performances as they wrap-up their 2024 tour – LIGHT OF HOPE!
About the Choir
The Imani Milele Choir is a remarkable musical ensemble from Uganda. The name "Imani Milele" translates to "Everlasting Faith" in Swahili, reflecting the choir's mission to bring hope, love, and faith to the lives of Uganda's orphaned and vulnerable children. Founded as a Christian organization, Imani Milele Children is dedicated to rescuing, educating, developing, and improving the lives of these children.
The choir's repertoire includes praise , worship, dance, and well-crafted drum routines, providing audiences with an immersive experience. Beyond the stage, the choir places a strong emphasis on education, ensuring that the children receive a well-rounded development.
Overall, the Imani Milele Choir stands as a beacon of hope, using the power of music, education, and cultural exchange to spread the love of Christ, uplift the lives of Uganda's children and inspire audiences worldwide.
