This gathering is part of the exhibition programming which centers joy from a Black queer and trans perspective. The exhibition is currently on display at MaMA Rotterdam from November 1st to January 5th. ? is a collaboration between and program maker Aisha Bah. MaMA is a platform for visual culture in Rotterdam, where young talent develops through productions and presentations at the interface of visual art and popular culture.
Imagine Worlds of Pleasure invites Black queer and trans people to come together and sculpt realms of joy and liberation. In this workshop, we’ll enter the limitless space of our imagination — a space where our dreams and desires know no bounds. Here, anything can happen. As we practice using tools of imagination we’ll collectively sculpt a world made of Black queer and trans dreams with clay and other materials. This creative process is a step toward manifesting decolonial futures, where pleasure, authenticity and community thrives.

Deze bijeenkomst is onderdeel van de programmering van de tentoonstelling, die vreugde vanuit een Zwart queer en trans perspectief centraal stelt. De tentoonstelling is te zien in MaMA Rotterdam van 1 november tot 5 januari. is een samenwerking tussen en programmamaker Aisha Bah. MaMA is een platform voor visuele cultuur in Rotterdam,waar jong talent zich ontwikkelt door middel van producties en presentaties op het grensvlak van beeldende kunst en populaire cultuur.
Imagine Worlds of Pleasure nodigt Zwarte queer en trans mensen uit om samen te komen en werelden van vreugde en bevrijding te boetseren. In deze workshop betreden we de grenzeloze ruimte van onze verbeelding - een ruimte waar onze verlangens en dromen geen grenzen kennen. Hier kan alles gebeuren. Terwijl we oefenen met het gebruik van verbeeldingstechnieken, boetseren we met klei en andere materialen collectief een wereld van onze Zwarte queer en trans dromen. Dit creatieve proces is een stap in de richting van een dekoloniale toekomst waarin plezier, authenticiteit en gemeenschap gedijen.
