🪘3:30-5pm: Open WEST AFRICAN DRUM CIRCLE w/Oumar Keita,
-- Oumar Keita, a native of Guinea, West Africa, was a musician in the nationally recognized Ballet Saamato of Conakry, Guinea and performed with Wofa percussion. Since 2016, Oumar has been a member of Djebe Bara adding traditional instruments like the bolon, gnoni and n’gongoma, to accompany his singing. He can also be seen dancing, playing djembe and on dunun, his specialty. (⭐️If you have your own djembe, please bring it along!⭐️)
🎵**7-9pm** (new closing time!): The Benevolents
-- Based out of Missoula, Montana, The Benevolents are a dynamic rock band that enlivens audiences with soothing grooves and upbeat lyrics. The group plays the globally-influenced compositions of John Kratz, lead singer and guitarist, whose songs span a variety of musical styles including psychedelic rock, jam band, and folk rock. Michael Calucchia adds soulful backing vocals and a splash of keyboards and mandolin. Holding down the rhythm section are Daniel Kiely on drums and Ryan Stiles on the bass. The band has released two live albums, Live at Union Theater (2022) and Benevolents Live (2023).
