About this Event
Join in the fun as NIEC celebrates its 5th Year Anniversary with a performance and a series of pre-show activities to promote the love of reading for young children.
In this heartwarming adaptation of "Giraffes Can't Dance" by Giles Andreae, Gerald the Giraffe embarks on a journey of self-discovery as he overcomes his fear of dancing.
Set in the lively African jungle, the performance follows Gerald as the animals prepare for the annual Jungle Dance, and how he eventually gains the confidence to dance in his own unique way as he twirls and sways to the sounds of nature, amazing the other animals with his grace and talent.
The performance highlights the power of self-belief and the importance of respectful and supportive friends, showing that with a little encouragement, anyone can shine in their own way.
