About this Event
In the first Bee Balm Arkansas workshop of the year, break open the fundamentals of your writing practice and find new strength and sweetness. 🍯
What you’ll learn: How to deepen your images so they leave a lasting impression on your reader. Where you can break your lines and why (and how to get rid of words that aren’t serving you). How to take your poems from good to knock-out.❗
This two-part workshop will include readings, discussions, and an opportunity to practice image evolution and line break in your own work—and get feedback. This is a great class for folx who are looking to revise poems they’ve already written or develop more complex images in their creative writing. Both classes will be held in cozy Pearl's Books. (Thank you, Pearl’s!) 📚
Workshop One: Sunday, February 9, 4:30-7 p.m.
Workshop Two: Thursday, February 20, 6:30-9 p.m.
💛 This class is taught by Julia Paganelli Marín. Julia (she/her) is a bi+ poet and memoirist and the creator/director of Bee Balm Arkansas.
