Join Senior Curator at the National Wool Museum, Josephine Rout, for a fascinating
tour exploring the history of Japanese textiles and fashion in a selection of ukiyo-e prints
currently on display. Discover how these prints reflected the tastes and pleasures of the affluent Edo-period middle class.
Josephine Rout is a former Curator in the Asian Department at the Victoria and Albert
Museum in London and co-curator of the Victoria and Albert Museum exhibition,
Kimono: Kyoto to Catwalk (2020) and author of Japanese Dress in Detail, published by
Thames and Hudson (2020).
