Illuminations, a program that uses the critically reviewed artwork of a victim of child sexual abuse as a powerful tool to deepen and enrich the understanding of the nature, impact and legacy of abuse. In a creatively facilitated encounter with the artwork, viewers enter into the artist's most profound reflections on his experience, the abuser, and the ramifications for his family. The end result is an experience of a type of empathy that not only deepens understanding of the victimization of children, but empowers effective action.
