I have been a survivor for eighteen years, and this will be my 18th torch lighting ceremony for the Flames of Hope, October 4, 2025. Begins at the State Capitol downtown Providence at 6:30 pm.

Joann Lyon is a breast cancer survivor and friend of the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation, and she is raising money to carry a torch in her 18th Illuminations of Life Ceremony, at the Flames of Hope: A Celebration of Life™ event on October 4, 2025. The money raised from the Illuminations of Life fundraiser will be applied directly to our free programs and support services offered to people affected by cancer. In 2024, we positively impacted more than 6,000 people through education, healing programs and direct support.
We would greatly appreciate a donation from you to help make Joann’s fundraising efforts a success.
It is companies like yours that allow the Foundation to provide programs and services for people living with breast cancer. Our Mission of the Foundation is to celebrate and nurture life in our local community before, during and after a breast cancer diagnosis by providing education, access to wellness resources and support programs to all those touched by cancer.
