ILLUMINATE moving towards freedom - July 27th

This summer, transcenDANCE performers will have the exciting opportunity of creating dances inspired by the majestic space at St. Paul's Cathedral near Balboa Park. These site-specific creative works will bring forward ideas and images around rebirth and the healing energy that comes when we bring dance, song, and poetry together. This is a collaboration involving choreographers, Viviana Alcazar, Keomi Tarver, and Seiha Vor, poetry performance artist, Miesha Rice, and the Voices of Our City choir.

The performance will start outdoors in the Queen's Courtyard and then proceed to the Cathedral Nave. The entrance to the Queen's Couryard is on Fifth Avenue.

A reception will follow the performance in the Queen's Courtyard with desserts and beverages.

Parking Information

There will be 40 free parking spots available in the garage in the Olive Tower apartment building (525 Olive St, San Diego, CA 92103).

Additionally, there is free parking in Balboa Park across the street, when accessed from Upas Street and Sixth Avenue.

St. Paul’s campus is ADA/accessible with ramps, elevators, and ADA/gender neutral bathrooms around campus.
