About this Event

A glow paint night which showcases local DJs, creates an encouraging space to dance, and fuses visual creation.

DJ eleven12, DJ Olu Tosh, and DJ LoMain will each be on the decks and bring in music to get people on their feet.

Blacklights throughout the space will illuminate the neon body paint that can be applied in the midst of dancing. Another dimension of visual immersion will be projected by VJ, Recreational Therapy, who will be live mixing his visuals!

Finally, Rosebush Liqueur will make their appearance for pop-up drag performances throughout the night and will host a lip sync battle between whoever dares!

DJ LoMain | She/Her | @dj_lomain
Lauren, aka DJ LoMain, had the seeds of her DJ journey planted while living in South Africa in 2019. She experienced the vibrant Gqom, Kwaito, and Psytrance music scenes. Not only was she inspired by the music, but also the culture surrounding it and the way in which people came together over music to dance communally in clubs and venues everywhere. Lauren felt called to share her love for Afro beats and to learn how to DJ and bring this communal energy on the dance floor back to her home in Raleigh. Upon returning in 2020 she launched her path in DJing by working with a local underground house show DJ collective, MAD House. She draws inspiration from rhythmic roots of Latin and Afro culture, and fuses these beats with a wide array of genres including funk, disco, and house to bring crowds together and stir up the dance floor.

Recreational Therapy | @recreational_therapy
Recreational Therapy, created by Justin Jones, is a multimedia experience that brings stunning visuals to life through expertly crafted projection mapping. Projection mapping is a technique where video content is projected onto a surface, often a building or object, to create an illusion of movement and 3D shapes. With a passion for technology and an eye for detail, Justin seamlessly blends music videos, animations, and live camera feeds into a cohesive visual journey that complements the DJ's musical selection. Get ready to be transported to different worlds, from psychedelic landscapes to futuristic cityscapes, as Justin creates a dynamic and immersive experience that's as much a feast for the eyes as it is for the ears.
