It's the 206th anniversary of State of Illinois! Join the Illinois State Historical Society at The Inn at 835 in Springfield for a full day of events as we mark another year of statehood.
Speakers for the event include Caroline Kisiel, Ph.D., DePaul University; Bernard Sieracki, Ph.D., Michael Wiant, Ph.D., former director of Illinois State Museum and Dickson Mounds, and Logan Pappenfort, Ph.D., Director of Tribal Relations, Illinois State Museum, Dickson Mounds Museum, and hereditary chief of the Piankashaw tribe. Our luncheon speaker will be State Senator Doris Turner.
The event is free. A ticketed lunch buffet will be served.
