Fulton Street Collective welcomes ILLEGAL SMILE Organ Trio performing the tunes of John Prine on Thursday, August 5th at 8pm
The evening will also feature live painting by TBA.
Illegal Smile brings the high energy of a jazz organ trio to the humble joy of John Prine’s songs. Band leader and guitarist, Casey Nielsen, pays homage through his sensitive arrangements of Prine’s popular melodies.
It is fitting that Prine, a native of Chicago, should have his music kept alive in this city’s most vibrant venues. Showcase one of Chicago’s greatest songwriters with our city’s furtive modern jazz scene.
