Hear the dramatic life story of Claudio Monteverdi told through the lens of his dramatic madrigals which bridged the Italian Renaissance into the Baroque. This collection will be performed in the backdrop of the unique Museum of Modern Renaissance, a modern sistene chapel with psychedellic creation myth murals covering the walls and ceiling. We are accompanied by viola da gamba and the lute!
Parking around Davis Square is plentiful, but please arrive early enough to settle into the space before we start the music at 6pm!
