Ikebana: Japanese Flower Arranging

Instructor: Irene Gomulka
Irene will teach (3) traditional Japanese Sogetsu Ikebana classes. Ikebana, Japanese flower arranging, is a national Japanese treasure, which is over 500 years old. Irene will also share the history of Ikebana and show the traditional tools used for creating your own Ikebana arrangement.
A ceramic floral container, Japanese kenzan (needlepoint holder), plastic bowl to cut the floral materials, floral materials and handouts will be provided with a separate $60.00 materials fee paid in cash directly to the instructor at the first class.
Please bring branch cutters or garden clippers, a pitcher to hold water and a small plastic bag for trash.
Irene Gomulka has given numerous, demonstrations and taught Ikebana classes at Leu Gardens, Mennello Museum, Epcot, multiple Garden Clubs and teaches ongoing workshops. Irene is a licensed instructor in the Sogetsu School of Ikebana. She is the current president of the Ikebana International Chapter in Orlando and the Chairperson of the Sogetsu Orlando Study Group. She is also an International Judge for the Ikebana Gallery, which recognizes Ikebana student arrangements.
Participants must withdraw from classes at least five days prior to the start of class in order to receive a full refund or credit. If we must cancel a class, we will make every effort to inform you prior to the class time, and you will receive a full refund or credit.
Only those registered for the class will be permitted in the classroom. Childcare services are not provided.
