Although synth pop artist nici's sound might take more cues from 80s pop, new wave or even italo disco rather than hardcore punk, he probably wouldn't have ever started recording his own pop songs without the DIY ethos and everyone-can-do-it approach to making music of the underground punk scene. With catchy pop hooks, heartfelt lyrics, and a sound that borrows heavily from the whole palette of the 80s underground; hypnotizing synth melodies, chorused guitars, drum machines, and reverb-drenched tom fills, nici has been winning over the hearts of audiences since the release of his self-titled Casette EP in 2022.
Nici's full length debut "Return to Glory” will be out digitally on May 3rd and on vinyl through Contraszt Records and Unterschall Records on May 17th.
