A Yoruba Folktale comes to life with original music, narration, and artwork by elementary school students. Adapted from the Yoruba tale “The Tortoise and the Wisdom of the World,” this performance features original music by Elmer Gibson performed by the United Strings of Color quartet. The story is narrated by voice-over actor Henry O. Lovett, and original artwork by students from Poe Elementary School in Raleigh accompany this innovative presentation. Children ages 4 through 11 are sure to enjoy the performance. A short lecture and Q and A on Yoruba culture follows.
