OFFICE CLOSED - JANUARY 19th - Dr. Martin Luther King Day Dear Clients, Partners, and Community Supporters,
In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the International Institute of Southwest Missouri (IISMO) office will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026.
On this day, IISMO leadership and staff will be participating in the MLK Day March and Multicultural Festival, honoring Dr. King’s legacy through service, reflection, and community engagement. We are proud to stand alongside our partners and neighbors as part of this important day.
Clients and supporters are encouraged and warmly invited to participate in the day’s events.
MLK March & Program Highlights
Meeting Location: Brightspeed Ice Park (gather after 7:00 AM)
March Begins: 8:30 AM, walking to the Gillioz Theater
Program: Annual MLK Program at the Gillioz Theater
Donation Drive: Hats, gloves, socks, and Hot Hands for local cold-weather shelters
Hospitality: Complimentary coffee and donuts
Multicultural Festival
Time: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Location: Oasis Convention Center
Activities: Live entertainment, food, community resources, and a wellness village
Cost: $5 adult entry - children 12 and under free
