About this Event
RenewableUK (RUK), the Offshore Wind Industry Council (OWIC), The Crown Estate (TCE) and Crown Estate Scotland (CES) launched the Offshore Wind Industrial Growth Plan (IGP) on 16 April. Link here - https://lnkd.in/eMb4xsk5. The aim of the IGP is to grow supply chain capacity to accelerate and de-risk delivery, and to grow market share at home and abroad through a focus on key technologies.
Subsequently, The Crown Estate has announced the Supply Chain Accelerator (SCA). Link here - https://lnkd.in/e3AMU2Gj. The SCA programme is aimed at benefiting the UK’s offshore wind industry by increasing early stage investment in the domestic supply chain. The application process will open in mid-June and close by end July.
The intention of this session is for supply chain companies working in the UK to learn more about some of the support initiatives in detail and how they can maximise value in applying.
This will provide:
- Insight into the five key technology specific areas of the IGP and introductions to anticipated funding mechanisms to support supply chain development in these technology areas.
- Update on TCE’s Supply Chain Accelerator Fund to de-risk the early-stage development of projects linked to offshore wind. Delegates are invited to hear more detail about the initial £10 million of a £50 million funding package now open for expressions of interest.
Speakers:
- Ajai Ahluwalia, Head of Supply Chain, RenewableUK
- Duncan Ayling, Senior Supply Chain & Regions Manager, The Crown Estate
