Welcome to the 2024 Nashville Early Childhood Education Conference! "Ignite! Purpose and Intention" occurs July 23 - 26, 2024. All sessions are free and open to all.
Join us in person at United Way of Greater Nashville (250 Venture Circle, Nashville, TN 37228) for the following great pre-conference session presented by Dr. Leslie Cowell, Dean of Lipscomb University's College of Education.
This session will describe conflict management strategies for leaders in early childhood settings and provide opportunities for participants to practice.
3-hours of TN DHS credit is available upon completion of a reflection form. All Ignite! conference sessions fall under the umbrella of the United Way of Greater Nashville for TN DHS credit. United Way of Greater Nashville is a Pre-Approved Institution with TrainTN. Documentation of attendance and participation should be entered by your TNPAL-verified director in their TrainTN Director Portal.
A bout the Presenters
Dr. Cowell is the Dean of the College of Education at Lipscomb University. Prior to working at Lipscomb, she was the Dean for the College of Education at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama, and worked with the Department of Early Childhood in Alabama, starting and directing three PreK sites in Montgomery for children in vulnerable and marginalized communities. She holds a Ph.D. in Elementary Education, an M.Ed in Reading Education, an M.Ed. in Urban Education, and a certificate in Conflict Management.
