Delightful ancient woodland consisting of oak, birch, rowan & beech. Full range of courses for all age classes and abilities. If you’ve not done Orienteering before, the idea is to find checkpoints using the specially prepared map. There are different courses to suit different experience levels.
Courses: if you’re new to Orienteering, we recommend you do either yellow orange or a score course. Score is the best course for adult newcomers as it gives you a chance to do some off path Orienteering - find as many checkpoints in 60 minutes. Yellow or orange line courses are best for those with younger children as they stay predominantly on the paths - work your way from checkpoint to checkpoint in the correct order to complete your course.
We supply a map, (which you can keep) and loan you a timing stick to record your time.
