Then sign up on the waitlist on this page. Once your ticket purchase is confirmed your entry will be promoted to compete in the event. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to [email protected]
If you can't commit to attending feel free to simply join the waitlist without purchasing a ticket. We will contact you if a spot opens up later.
Drivers are limited to 2 robots per class.
We will be holding the IRFC at the Fred Maytag II Scout Center at 6123 Scout Trail, Des Moines, IA 50321 and doors will open at 8:30 AM on Saturday August 24th. All competitors must be checked-in, weighed, and confirmed as eligible by 9:45 AM to be considered eligible to compete. Bracket announcement will be made at 9:55 AM and the competition will begin with the first Ant Weight fight at 10:00 AM.
The IRFC will have two arenas, of size 6x6x2.5 feet. The far wall will have a trap door pit which will open after 60 seconds.
Competitors will be given an ON DECK warning, 4 minutes prior to their fight, and must be ready to compete at the time specified. If a competitor has not placed their robot in the arena at the specified time, their fight will be forfeit.
Near the end of the competition, repair breaks will be built into the schedule to ensure competitors have enough time to prepare for their next fight. Repair breaks will be announced and the next fight time will be displayed on the fight schedule monitor/TV. On deck announcements will be made at the beginning and near the end of the repair break.
