Morgan Snyder is known as “Indy’s chief storyteller.” In her role as Senior Director of Public Relations in Film and Media, for Visit Indy and Film Indy, she’s responsible for engaging with national media—and has convinced more than 500 media members to visit Indianapolis, with a goal of landing positive stories that help position Indy as a must-visit destination.
Her efforts placed Indianapolis as one of the “World’s Greatest Places” (Time Magazine), “Best Places to Travel” (Travel + Leisure Magazine) and “21 Best Places to Go” (Condé Nast Traveler Magazine).
When she’s not working directly with media to tell the city’s story, she works with Visit Indy’s sales team to help retain convention business and attract more.
Morgan describes Visit Indy as “the official sales and marketing arm for the city of Indianapolis.” Visit Indy is not just about revenue, however; it’s about showcasing what is special about Indianapolis and the people who make our city unique.
FILM INDY is dedicated to uplifting and supporting visual artists, filmmakers and aspiring filmmakers in the Indianapolis region, recruiting film and television related marketing opportunities for central Indiana and giving support and creating resources for productions interested in filming in Indianapolis. Since Film Indy’s inception in 2016 and the implementation of an official film application for the City of Indianapolis, we have tracked more than 400 film and media projects in the Indianapolis region with a collective economic impact of $34.2M and the creation of 2,200 local jobs. www.filmindy.com
