Jon will discuss the ecological connections between native plants and wildlife here in the North Carolina Piedmont.
Jon Storm is a Professor of Biology at the University of South Carolina Upstate. Jon manages the Southern Piedmont Natural History page on Facebook and Instagram, where he writes about things you might find in nature at that time of year. His educational outreach to the public led to him being awarded the 2023 Governor’s Award for Scientific Awareness from Governor Henry McMaster. Jon’s research interests include small mammal ecology and animal behavior and have been featured on the Discovery Channel Canada, National Public Radio, and in The New York Times.
