"If You Knew Me You'd Love Me”
Finding common ground at very special concert by
The Ripple Effect
It seems everywhere we look people are taking sides and calling names. How can we learn to find common ground? On Sunday October 27 Sherry K’s groundbreaking group The Ripple Effect Vocal Visionary Project presents their annual "If You Knew Me You'd Love Me" concert -- an evening of music and words designed to build understanding.
Uplifting songs of unity and inspiration will be interwoven with speakers from the community who will share personal stories to help us understand how it feels to walk in their shoes. The event takes place in Little Theatre at Saint Mary's College at 4pm and is sponsored by Saint Mary's Division for Equity and Inclusion.
You’ll hear a wide variety of upbeat songs delivered by a choir with plenty of style—everything from a hit by unofficial king of "happy pop" Andy Grammer to a totally cheeky and irreverent tune from Monty Python's Spamalot and a rousing Sherry K original anthem premiere! You'll also hear experiences from individuals who will give us an inside view of the encouraging journey that is their everyday lives.
A $20 suggested donation will be taken at the door with 20% of the proceeds donated to the Saint Mary's LGBTQ Center. Student admission is free.
Little Theatre is located inside Moreau Center for the Arts Saint Mary's College Campus Notre Dame IN and is ADA accessible. For directions call Moreau Center for the Arts box office: 574-284-4626 or watch this video -
