Come along to get hands on with henna! You'll be invited to join our workshops to learn how to make your own henna, learn about its incredible history and see some beautiful henna art from our open call.

HENNA MAKING: In our free workshops you’ll learn how to make henna cones from scratch, learn more about henna designs from around the world and how to apply henna with a steady hand. Kids will get the chance to learn about natural dyes by mashing up fruit on different surfaces.

HENNA TALKS: Learn from henna artists and experts about natural dyes, the ancient history of henna and it’s many practices from across the world. This will be followed by a sharing from our storytelling workshop participants and spoken word artists.

HENNA EXHIBITION: Following an open call, we will be exhibiting visual works of art that touch on themes of henna, natural dyes, or cultural design.

HENNA MARKET: Bring a fiver to get some henna done and spare change for henna-related merchandise to fill your stockings this winter.

This is a free event but booking is encouraged so we can plan ahead and accomodate everyone.

If you would like to get involved in any of the above elements get in touch with our partner producer Tasnim at [email protected]
