About this Event
The IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management is a comprehensive and professionally accredited first step in developing your environmental and sustainability knowledge. You’ll learn about the major sustainability issues facing humanity today, an overview of the relevant policy and legislation, how to collect and interpret environmental data and how to work effectively with stakeholders across your organisation.
There is no doubt that sustainability is becoming an increasingly significant and urgent issue for businesses. Individuals who understand it and can provide advice on how to improve organisational impacts are in short supply.
Completing this five-day course will enable you to qualify as an Associate member of IEMA (the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment) and earn you the right to use the suffix “AIEMA” after your name. This is an essential requirement for most environmental roles now, and it’s been the fastest growing area for job vacancies in the last five years. The course includes a full year of Institute membership.
The course tutor is both a qualified accountant and an IEMA Fellow with recent commercial experience leading the sustainability agenda at a large regional PLC with numerous award wins in environmental management. The course will include a specific focus on the commercial imperatives and business case for sustainability.
