About this Event

Idealists Quarterly is a diverse community, each of us trying to improve their little corner of the world - and we're having a meet up!

  • 28 November, 6pm onwards
  • Commons Hub, Rue de la Madeleine 51, 1000 Brussels
  • Inspiring lightning talks
  • Live Music
  • Drinks and chats

At this edition of our Idealists Quarterly drinks & talks event, we will discuss ALTERNATIVE FUTURES.

Let’s allow ourselves to deconstruct the societal conditioning of powerlessness, and instead dream a little – or a lot.

What kind of lives could we live, collectively, if we accepted for a minute that the way things are is not the way things have to be? What is stopping us from making the alternative futures we dream of a reality?

After the talks we’ll get to experience some amazing live music by Shivam and friends. Their music is a mix of genres influenced by bollywood tunes as well as popular songs you can’t help but sing along with. Shivam’s own pieces have a unique way of blending songs with storytelling. Don’t miss it!

PS: We’ll host this Idealists Quarterly gathering at Commons Hub. It is a new space for citizens to rebuild the commons – meaning resources that should be accessible to all. Commons Hub is a space to work, meet, organise events, cross-pollinate and inspire.
