ICP-the I Care Party by NEOS- a fundraiser for Vision in Focus USA

We’ve been tossing the idea around about having a party on the Saturday night of the show. We have the space for the show from Friday evening through Sunday evening. The reps and attendees are already staying either in the hotel or surrounding area. Attendees and vendors comment after every show that the networking and social aspect, is unlike any other show, and they want more of it. When Hurricane Helene destroyed Ashville, NC and we learned about Vision in Focus and what they’ve done and continue to do, we decided this is the time, and it’s going to be 100% to benefit them.
About Focus in Vision, USA
Imagine losing your home, everything you own, and having your life completely turned upside down in just a few hours due to a hurricane. Now, imagine that while you're struggling to pick up the pieces, you also lose your glasses. Without them, you can’t see, fill out forms, or use your phone (if it’s even working) to reach out to loved ones. And to make matters worse, there’s no place left to get new glasses because the disaster has affected everyone around you as well.
In 2017, Hurricane Maria, a category 5 hurricane, wreaked havoc on Puerto Rico’s already fragile infrastructure. Rose Mary Torres, a native of Puerto Rico and an Optician living in Newport News, VA, along with her husband Luis, a retired Navy Chief, immediately sprang into action. It started with a vision to bring a backpack full of reading glasses to dispense in pre-arranged clinics and ended up dispensing over 500 pairs during their 4 days in the island. This marked the beginning of their eyeglass mission, and they haven’t stopped since.
In 2022 Vision in Focus USA was granted 501c3 non-profit status as they continue to bring hope to disaster-stricken areas by providing glasses. Their efforts are helping to change the outlook on life for those navigating the challenging recovery process. To date, Vision in Focus USA has successfully completed five missions, distributing over 1,000 pairs of carefully handcrafted reading glasses, valued at over $225,000.
