In this retreat, you will learn how to paint an icon of an angel. We will use traditional egg tempera and genuine gold leaf on gessoed wooden panels. At the end of the retreat, you’ll be able to take home a beautiful icon painted byyourself, the fruit of many hours of hard work and prayer.
You do not need to have any professional art training or prior experience in icon painting. The only expectation is your willingness to learn something new and immerse yourself in an ancient and sacred tradition of iconography, to enter into a deeper relationship with God.
