ICE Local Workshop - Chinese Calligraphy Class

If you've ever wanted to try your hand at Chinese Calligraphy, this is your chance! Ring in the New Year with well wishes written in the ancient art form. You will be in good hands as your experienced instructor, Maverick Lau has won multiple accolades including the International Calligraphy competition in 2015, and the Global Overseas Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Competition in 2016. In 2023, he was appointed the head of the Youth Initiative of the Malaysian Calligraphy Association. With his skillful guidance, you'll get to explore the world of Chinese Calligraphy. The workshop will start with an introduction to the art of writing, then a demonstration on how to work those brush strokes, and finally you'll get the chance to make your own bookmarks adorned with beautiful calligraphy. You don't need to have prior experience with calligraphy, just come with your curiousity and your friends! This workshop will be a safe space to learn and explore this elegant art form.
