There's more to entrepreneurship than business creation and small business management. Entrepreneurship is a mindset that can empower people to succeed, no matter their chosen path. In today’s world, small business owners need 21st Century skills to stay competitive.
The Ice House Entrepreneurship Program is an experiential, problem-based program designed to empower learners by exposing them to entrepreneurial thinking while immersing them in entrepreneurial experiences that will develop modern-day skills needed to succeed:
- Creative & Critical Thinking: Nurture your ability to conceive innovative solutions and analyze situations from diverse angles.

The Ice House Entrepreneurship Program will immerse you in real-world entrepreneurial experiences, fostering hands-on learning and cultivating the skills that matter most today. By engaging with practical challenges, you'll develop the ability to innovate, communicate, and adapt effectively.

Josh Lawson is an author, small business owner, and the Entrepreneurship Program Facilitator at the Shawnee State University Kricker Innovation Hub. He lives with his family in Wheelersburg, Ohio. In his spare time, Josh also serves on various non-profit boards and public health coalitions dedicated to improving the lives of people in his local community.

The Economic & Community Development Institute's Women's Business Centers of Ohio guide individuals at any stage of the business process. Through one-on-one counseling sessions with WBC staff and volunteers, you can get the direction and resources to meet your goals. Business advisers want to help you successfully start a business, or grow and expand your existing business -- increasing revenue and creating jobs for the local economy.
The WBCs present training workshops regularly to provide access to small business knowledge at no charge. They are the only SBA-funded Women's Business Centers in the state.
