Car requirements:
Your car must be equipped with Ice cleats. This can be achieved in three ways. You can purchase pre-made specialty Ice racing tires. You can use Kold Kutter ice studs but they MUST have an approved fastener inside of the tire. You can used good old fashioned nuts and bolts (this is our recommendation). We have found that summer tires actually tend to work better for this as they have solid rubber blocks and the rubber gets hard in the cold and helps maintain structure to prevent leaks. The more tread on the tire, the less chance of leaks.
