TREVOR FUNG BIOGRAPHY
Trevor Fung began his DJing career at 15 and was quickly earning a reputation for his taste and knowledge of both UK and American Soul Funk and Jazz. In 1983 through his European tastes and connections Trevor was invited to play at Amnesia in Ibiza to spin his now mixed style of dance music. On Trevor’s return and throughout the mid 80’s he set up a club called Zigi’s playing similar sounds from his Ibiza experience alongside the popular Hip Hop and Go-Go sounds of that time. This was followed by the formation of his infamous The Project club with another club resident and good friend Carl Cox. The Project Club was strongly influenced at that time by the new sounds coming in from the Detroit and Chicago.
HOUSE MUSIC!
In the summer of ‘87 Trevor took The Project Ibiza concept to Ibiza where he opened a bar in San Antonio, playing to a very mixed crowd that was attracted by the then unusual combination of Hip Hop, Indie, Acid and House music Trevor had incorporated into his unique style. This later became known within the music press as Balearic Beat. In 1987 Trevor’s influence over fellow friends and DJ’s ignited a chain reaction in London. Nicky Holloway, Paul Oakenfold, Johnny Walker and Danny Rampling were all early visitors to Trevor’s nights both at The Project Club and Amnesia and were inspired to change the face of the London Club Scene by launching seminal nights such as The Future, Spectrum, Shoom, The Land of Oz and Trip.
Following this period Trevor could be seen playing at all the spectacular one-off M25 Orbital live events such as Sunrise, Energy, World Dance and Biology which in turn led to long-term residencies at Rage, Enter the Dragon, Spectrum and Love @ the Wag.
Trevor has been working recently on his regular gigs and also as host to other major club nights like Clockwork Orange, Shoom, Golden, Dance 89 and Ibiza’s Pikes with some of the biggest DJ’s from the USA and UK, featuring some of clubland most respected promoters and legendary DJ’s like, DJ’s Danny Krivit, Frankie Knuckles, Morales, Franck Roger, Derrick May, Robert Owens, Danny Rampling, DJ Pierre and Terry Farley.
Trevor has been busy in the studio with mixes, radio, label and touring throughout the world.
JONATHAN ULYSSES BIOGRAPHY
Jonathan Ulysses has a career that spans over 30 years with his 17 year residency at “Space Ibiza” and the numerous sets at club nights like We Love, In Bed with Space, Mondays Calling and Cafe Ole at the now closed Space Ibiza, The worlds best Club. Jonathan has been nominated as Ibiza’s best DJ in DJ magazine, Making guest appearances on Pete Tong’s Radio 1 Show ‘Dance Anthems’. He has produced many tracks over the years, releasing tracks on credible labels like Toolroom, Nervous, Azuli, Housesession, Jango, Se-Lek Music, Hotfingers and Zulu Records. Jonathan is busy with his own label ‘Ulybug Music’ producing tracks for new and up and coming artist.
The World Is His Stage:
Jonathan has played at some of the best clubs in the world like Green Valley - Brazil, Pacha - Ibiza, Club Space - Miami. The Edge - Brazil, LaRocca Brussels, Ministry Of Sound - London, Amnesia - Ibiza, Zero Gravity and the Sandance Festival in Dubai and much more across the globe. Jonathan also runs his own successful night in Stoke On Trent called ‘Ibiza Hive’ at Basement Club in Hanley and his own radio show on Release Radio that goes out to approximately 30.000 people across London and the Southern Counties and the North West of the UK and cross the globe on DAB radio.The Ulybug Show is growing every day with more listeners for each show.
The Next Chapter:
Already with confirmed bookings for 2024 at Our House Rave Festival, StreetBeat&Eats Festival, House and Classic Festival, JacFest Festival in Cambridge, Eden Ibiza for One More Time, Clockwork Orange - Ibiza, Prototype in Liverpool, and the Clock-Stock Weekender at Boyton Hall Farm - Chelmsford. Jonathan’s last track called “Pick Me Up” from his own label Ulybug Music, got heavy support from DJs like Danny Howard, DJ EZ, Oliver Heldens, Claptone , The Cube Guys and Roger Sanchez and hit the top 20 in Beatport and Traxsource with over 200.000 streams on Spotify. This year Jonathan has tracks already line up to be released on his label Ulybug Music and other reputable labels for 2024. His continued sustainability in the industry shows he has proven longevity.
