Ian McNabb
In 1981, Liverpool musician Ian McNabb formed The Icicle Works. The band quickly gained a following and became part of the Liverpool renaissance movement of the eighties alongside acts such as Echo & The Bunnymen, The Teardrop Explodes, OMD, Frankie Goes To Hollywood and The Lotus Eaters. They signed to Beggars Banquet Records and scored a Top 20 UK hit with Love Is A Wonderful Colour and Top 40 placings worldwide with Birds Fly (Whisper To A Scream).
Following The Icicle Works’ split in 1988, Ian began a collaboration with friend Ian Broudie that spawned a number of Lightning Seeds songs. He then released three solo albums in the early nineties, including Truth And Beauty - heralded as “one of the best records released in Q magazine’s lifetime” - and the Mercury Music Prize-nominated Head Like A Rock, which was recorded in part with Neil Young’s band Crazy Horse.
Following touring stints as bass guitarist for The Waterboys and Ringo Starr, Ian has continued to release solo albums and tour extensively in his own right. In 2009 he unleashed his autobiography Merseybeast, which has become something of a cult classic amongst the rock fraternity. He remains a prolific songwriter, live performer and music aficionado.

Chris Kearney
Chris Kearney was the founder, guitarist and singer/songwriter of Liverpool band The Aeroplanes, formed in 2004. Their debut EP crashed into the Top 5 of the Indie charts and the band broke the iTunes weekly downloads record for an unsigned artist. Their song Don’t Stop Me, written by Chris, featured in the movie The Amateurs after director Jeff Bridges heard their distinctive sound and personally requested for it to be in the soundtrack. Chris is currently the in-house songwriter with Modern Sky UK.

Shaun Martin
Shaun Martin has been making music in Hong Kong since 2004, mostly as guitarist and singer of legendary local sex-rockers The David Bowie Knives, known for their loud and sweaty live shows around the city. Shaun is currently playing in new Hong Kong indie ‘supergroup’ Night Ships alongside members of Shotgun Politics, Teenage Riot and After After Party. As a solo artist, Shaun played Clockenflap in 2010 and supported The Lemonheads frontman, Evan Dando, in 2017.
