Ian Janes celebrates the release of his new album – WeakNights – with TWO intimate acoustic solo shows at The Carleton: this one at 7:00 PM, Thursday, May 23rd, as well as 7:00 PM Wednesday, May 22nd. Tickets are only $25 + HST.
Ian Janes’ new album WeakNights is a cross section of everything Ian is about as an artist/producer: expertly crafted songs supported by infectious grooves, airtight arrangements and flawless musicianship. Hooks that are simultaneously fun and smart; complex but clear. WeakNights is intentional and deliberate throughout; with plenty of space left for pure fun.
For this show Ian will be playing through the new record with just him and his guitar. He’ll walk the audience through the process of writing and recording these 7 new songs as well as revisit plenty of favorites from past projects. As usual, Ian will connect with folks on social media ahead of time and (live from the stage!) to find out which back-catalogue requests the audience may have. Given the sensational cache of tunes from over the course of his career, this show will deliver two jam-packed full sets!
