Moving Beyond BunkaiAt this year’s seminar, Iain will teach how to take kata applications into free-flowing drills and sparring in a way that is safe, productive and fun! This will include how Iain develops these drills in his own dojo from white belt upwards. In too many dojos sparring is not taught as a skill in a progressive way, but instead is an experience (often a stressful and demotivating experience) forced onto unready students. Iain will cover how to avoid this such that free-flowing drills and live sparring are always a safe and fun experience regardless of the level of the practitioner. This seminar will show how kata methods can live and breathe.
The seminar is open to everyone (> 15 years of age) with an interest in practical karate.

Sunday 22th February 09:30-15:00
Both days there will be a one hour lunch break.

Price and registration
The price for both days will be 800 DKR and 500 DKR for one day.

Practical information
There will be room for only approximately 45 people at the seminar. So, book your place as soon as possible!
During the weekend, we will do a lot of light and fun sparring. Therefore, please bring sparring gloves and gum shield for safety.
