About this Event
Saturday 5 October
10.30 to 12.30
St George’s Chapel, Leicester Cathedral
‘Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.’ (Matthew 11.28)
Join us for our next seasonal Discipleship quiet morning, an opportunity to reflect on the importance of rest in relation to our discipleship, and to practise resting with God and with scripture. What does Christ’s call to come to him in our weariness mean in the context of a society that often prioritises productivity and ‘doing’ over ‘being’, and how does this relate to living out our faith?
Through guided reflection, quiet time and permission to simply ‘be’ in the quiet comfort of the Cathedral, we aim to spend a morning reflecting and resting together.
