About this Event
In honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Global Story Films is proud to present i was 8814 for the first time in Pennsylvania!
Film Summary
Torn from her parents, marked by a number, Hanna escaped Nazi Germany at 7 years old. She would come to learn that she was part of the Kindertransport––an epic rescue effort that would save nearly 10,000 Jewish children from Hitler’s regime.
In i was 8814, Hanna sits down at 92 years old to personally narrate her story in breathtaking detail. She recounts the childhood experience of seeing Hitler parade through her hometown, the heartbreaking journey of discovering her parents' fate, returning to her homeland, and finding an unexpected path to healing.
