Interaction with Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and university students to take a stand for peace
About this Event

The USC SKY Club in partnership with the Art of Living Foundation invites you to “I Stand For Peace”, an interaction with university students and global peace ambassador Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Experience the connection between inner and outer peace, and the positive impact on society that can counter the crisis that the world is going through today.

This event highlights the role of connection, community, and celebration on our mental health and well-being. It’s a chance for students to come together, and learn how they can be part of a bigger vision of a shared humanity, and celebrate harmony in diversity.

Today, mental health is a challenge and it is evermore important for us to find peace within ourselves. Global peace is not possible without individual peace. If enough people say 'I Stand For Peace' we project that collective energy and vision to make it happen.

How we support mental wellness on campus

The USC SKY Club has been instrumental in supporting mental health and wellness initiatives on campus since 2014. From weekly yoga classes, to SKY Campus wellness retreats, students have experienced peace of mind and inner resilience through various programs and uplifting events.

We align closely with and support USC's unifying values, including integrity, well-being, excellence, open communication, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and accountability.

Learn about the World Culture Festival

Celebration is a key component in uplifting and uniting the hearts and minds of people all over the globe. The last World Culture Festival organized by the Art of Living was the biggest celebration witnessed in history. This was a monumental event organized in 2016 by the Art of Living Foundation. It brought together over 3.75 million people from more than 120 countries, and was the largest global gathering of artists ever witnessed.

And now in 2023, for the first time in the US, the next World Culture Festival will bring thousands together to take a stand for peace and celebrate together.

At this event, students will learn about volunteer opportunities with the upcoming World Culture Festival.
