We are so thrilled to close out the summer with an incredible lineup, featuring Cecily Parks, Stephanie Yue Duhem, & Sam Treviño!
Presented by Host Publications, I Scream Social is a monthly feminist reading series and ice cream party that takes place at Alienated Majesty Books. We aim to celebrate and empower historically marginalized writers and share incredible literature and diverse perspectives to an Austin-area audience. Stephanie Yue Duhem (she/her) | @moonandmouth on IG | loves mint chocolate chip ice cream
Stephanie Yue Duhem is an Austin-based poet, first-generation immigrant, and graduate of the New Writers Project MFA at UT Austin. Her debut poetry collection, CATACLYSM MOVES ME I REGRET TO SAY, is now available from House of Vlad Press.
Sam Treviño (he/him) | @whiskeydynamite on IG | loves coffee ice cream
Sam Treviño is a writer, poet, and literary organizer from Central Texas. He has served as Community Outreach Director for the East Austin based literary collective Chicon Street Poets and overseen the Aural Literature reading series for Austin Public Library, where he spends his days working as a punk ass book jockey. His work has been featured in Best Buds! Collective, Sybil Journal, the Praisesong for the People project, and in various zines and backyard whispers. His chapbook, Werewolf Mask, was published by Weekly Weird Monthly in 2016. One of his poems, "An Ongoing List of Things Found in the Library Book Drop, Usually Being Used as Bookmarks," has been adapted into a short film by director Kayla Abuda Galang. He wants to have a conversation with you.

Cecily Parks is the author of three poetry collections, including The Seeds, which will be published by Alice James Books in October 2025. The recipient of a Poetry Society of America Chapbook Fellowship and the Lucille Medwick Memorial Award, she is the guest editor of Best New Poets 2025 and editor of the anthology The Echoing Green: Poems of Fields, Meadows, and Grasses. She teaches in the MFA Program at Texas State University and lives in Austin.
