“I Love TKD” is an initiative begun by members of the taekwondo community in New Zealand to promote the participation of taekwondo students in tournaments.Prior to Covid, it would have expected 10% of all current students to attend at least one tournament each year. Evidence has shown that post-Covid this has dropped to 3-5%, which is not good for the devlopment of our sporting community.
As a consequence, a group of members decided to run a series of really low level tournaments aimed only at the 95% who do not attended tournaments.
The series has the support of Taekwondo New Zealand and the sponsorship of KWON NZ.
