BROOKLYNNovember 22nd, we're bringing the acid house originator himself to Good Room - DJ PIERRE!
A brief history lesson:
Chicago, 1985. Under the name "Phuture" DJ Pierre with Herb & Spanky experimented with a little silver box called the TB303. Designed as a bass-player replacement for rock music, they took it and twisted the sound, doing something completely new. Recorded to cassette and handed to legendary DJ Ron Hardy, he famously played it four times in one night at the Warehouse. The name? ACID TRACK
This track was literally where the name Acid House comes from. Alongside other new music coming from Adonis and Marshall Jefferson, an entire genre was born.
Expect a set of underground acid, house and techno spanning decades. Pierre is joined in the Good Room by Posthuman. In the Bad Room, fellow Chicago acid operator DJ Warp returns plus an I Love Acid debut for Chloe Battelle.
As always, I Love Acid & Good Room is a d*ckhead free zone. Keep your phones off the dancefloor please, bigotry & bad attitudes not welcome - no sexism, racism, transphobia, body shaming, hassling people or any of that sh*t. Come dance, and be yourself.
