Step into history like never before, I Lived Here, As Well is back for its sixth and final season at the Ximenez-Fatio House Museum! For 227 years, this historic house has welcomed travelers, guests, and residents, some whose stories have been forgotten over time. This season, we shine a light on those untold stories, familiar faces and new characters alike, bringing to life the people who lived, worked, and sometimes went unseen within these walls.Through our interpretive Black History tours, talented actors portray real residents, like Louisa Williams, a formerly enslaved woman freed by Union troops in 1862, alongside characters representing others who lived and worked here but whose names were never recorded. Visitors will experience firsthand the rich tapestry of St. Augustine’s past, immersing themselves in stories that have waited over two centuries to be told.
Thank you to Florida Dept. of State (FL-DOS) America 250, St. Johns Cultural Council, Jesse Ball duPont Match Foundation, and NSCDA-FL St. Augustine for their support of this program!
