I Hear the Stars Still Singing Open Sing

All are invited to join the Acton Community Chorus for our Open Sing rehearsals on September 8th and 15th, 2025. Give us a try and see if you'd like to become a member!
We will be preparing a concert to be performed in January 2026 called "I Hear the Stars Still Singing." It is a constellation of contemporary choral music contemplating the stars and the universe, featuring a multi-movement work by Kenneth Riggs called “Starlight Songs,” plus works by other living composers such as J. Michael Saunders, Jacob Narverud, Susan LaBarr, and Victor C. Johnson. The music ranges from exciting and hopeful to contemplative and serene, while we consider how the stars influence and guide us through our lives.
Acton Community Chorus is a non-auditioned chorus founded in 1984, providing singers from the MetroWest communities an opportunity to enjoy singing choral music in a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere.
Rehearsals are at the Faith Evangelical Free Church at 54 Hosmer Street Acton, MA. We meet at 7:30 and rehearse until 9:15. Feel free to contact us at [email protected] for more information. We look forward to meeting you!
