Take a trip back in time and explore the cultural landscape of 1980s Britain through the eyes of a child – revisiting the colourful vibrancy and innovation that defined the decade. From Betamax to BMX, Dirty Dancing to Donkey Kong, the Thompson Twins to Transformers.
I Grew Up 80s is a lovingly curated time capsule of over 200 treasures showcasing the youthful exuberance of this much-loved decade.
The museum is free to enter and you do not need to book to visit us or our exhibitions.

Mondays and Bank Holidays: closed
Tuesdays – Saturdays: 10.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
Sundays: 11.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.
