The Soul Spot presents " I Got Soul" which is a new trial open deck session for DJs of all levels and anybody wanting to drop thier favorite classic or contemporary jams. Singers are also welcome to apply. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE AS GUIDANCE WILL BE AVAILABLE.This is a free, family friendly, daytime event promoting a positive and relaxed atmosphere for all where you can meet and socialise with other music lovers. It will be held in a secret location at Rutland Water where only participants and thier invites will be notified of.
WHAT DO YOU GET?
+ 15-20 minute set per DJ or singer.
+ Your set recorded in high quality audio and sent to you in MP3 format.
+ Filming of the event in a mini, fully produced event video.
+ Free access and invites for your freinds and family.
WHAT MUSIC IS OR ISN'T ACCEPTED?
Currently only open to Soul, Jazz, RNB, Neo-Soul and any other similar, non-explicit music. Hip Hop or UK Garage pre 2000s is accepted but it MUST be radio edited versions and explicit free. No swearing, no sexual references or negative content.
We will not currently accept any form of DNB, Grime, Dance, Techno, Metal, etc etc
HOW TO APPLY?
Simply drop us a message with your interest, giving a rough example of your playlist, to be added to the line-up. Sets will be first come first served and organized randomly on the day. Share the event and invite your freinds.
The setup is small digital turntables with Serato DJ Pro so you will need to bring your playlist on a USB in MP3 format.
OTHER INFORMATION
+ The setting is in a secret Rutland Water location with no amenities other than public toilets.
+ Parking is free and lots of it right next to the spot.
+ You are welcome to bring food and drink but you MUST bring bags to dispose of your litter and take it away with you.
+ Anybody not acting in a responsible or respectful manner will be asked to leave and will be banned from attending future events.
Simple, don't ruin the vibe for everyone else as it won't be tolerated.
+ This event is totally weather dependent and not officially endorsed by the local authorities so please bare in mind we may be asked to shut down on the day!
We will be looking to secure an official venue for future sessions.
